LED Therapy

Introducing LED Therapy – the non-invasive, professional-grade treatment that rejuvenates your skin with a versatile approach to a range of common skin concerns. LED therapy improves skin tone and texture by penetrating cells at a cellular level to induce a natural healing response.

This safe and clinically proven treatment delivers controlled LED light application to targeted areas of the skin, with each light colour penetrating at different depths to address specific skin concerns. Visible light is an energy source, stimulating the skin’s natural healing process to repair damaged cells and prevent acne-causing bacteria.

The benefits of LED therapy are clear: it diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, reduces acne and scarring, addresses hair loss, improves skin conditions such as eczema and rosacea, and improves photodamage, skin tone, texture, and radiance.

How Does LED Therapy Work?

After a single LED light therapy session, you can expect to see a difference in the quality and integrity of your skin. The number of treatments required for optimal results varies depending on your skincare goals and skin condition.

Typically, 4-6 bi-weekly sessions are recommended to get the absolute best out of the treatment. LED light therapy is also highly effective when combined with other treatments, such as dermal fillers, supercharging their benefits.

Different LED light types work together to achieve your skincare goals. Blue light targets acne-causing bacteria and enhances the skin’s natural healing capabilities. In contrast, red light boosts collagen and elastin production, evens skin tone and texture, and reduces redness and pore size.

Yellow light offers anti-ageing benefits, reduces rosacea and blood vessels on the face and nose, and eliminates dark spots. Near infra-red light calms skin irritation and provides anti-ageing benefits, relieving skin inflammation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Does LED Light Therapy Take To Work?

You can expect to see a difference in your skin's quality and integrity after a single LED light therapy session. The number of treatments required to reach optimal results will depend on your skincare goals and the condition of your skin when starting treatment. Typically, we recommend 4-6 treatment sessions bi-weekly if you want to get the absolute best out of treatment. LED light therapy is also highly effective when combined with treatment such as injectables like dermal fillers, supercharging their benefits.

Do You Need To Wear Eye Protection For LED Light Therapy?

You will be given protective blackout goggles to wear during treatment. These prevent any light from making contact with the eye area, rendering treatment entirely safe.

Who should not use light therapy?

As with any medical aesthetics treatment, LED therapy isn't suitable for everyone (it is suitable for pregnant & breastfeeding women, unlike treatments like fillers).

LED therapy isn't appropriate for individuals who:

  1. Have had or have skin cancer.
  2. Take medication that increases susceptibility to sun damage.
  3. Have an active rash.

LED therapy is also unsuited for individuals looking to treat acne cysts, blackheads, and whiteheads. During your consultation, we can discuss alternative treatments to address these concerns.
